Krav Maga or hand to hand combat was developed in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s by Imi Lichtenfeld, who had trained in boxing and wrestling. During this time, Lichtenfeld deployed the skills that he head learned in street fighting to help defend his local Jewish community from the Nazi militia.
Krav Maga is the official defense system of the Israeli defense forces. It is also used by numerous elite special forces around the globe.
